What is Extended DISC — and why it's built into your coaching
Extended DISC isn't a personality test. It's a behavioral framework that tells your AI coach how to actually reach you.
Most coaching — human or AI — gives everyone the same advice and hopes it lands. Extended DISC changes that. It's a validated behavioral assessment that identifies how you naturally communicate, make decisions, and respond to pressure, so coaching can be built around how you actually operate rather than a generic template.
The four DISC styles
Dominance
Direct, results-driven, and decisive. High-D managers move fast, want control over outcomes, and can come across as blunt under pressure — coaching that leads with the bottom line lands better than coaching that leads with process.
Influence
Outgoing, persuasive, and people-focused. High-I managers are energized by interaction and lead through enthusiasm — coaching that's collaborative and acknowledges the relationship lands better than coaching that's purely transactional.
Steadiness
Patient, supportive, and consistency-driven. High-S managers value harmony and can be uncomfortable with sudden change — coaching that's paced and gives time to process lands better than coaching that pushes for an immediate decision.
Compliance
Analytical, precise, and quality-focused. High-C managers want to understand the reasoning before they act — coaching that's specific and evidence-based lands better than coaching that's high-level or motivational.
Most people are a blend of styles, not a single pure type — Extended DISC measures the balance, not just the highest score.
What Extended DISC measures
Extended DISC identifies four behavioral styles — Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance — that describe how you naturally communicate, make decisions, and respond to pressure. Extended DISC goes deeper than standard DISC assessments, with a more rigorous validation methodology behind the profile it produces.
How it's different from a personality test
DISC measures observable behavior, not fixed personality traits — which is why it can inform real-time coaching adjustments rather than a one-time label. Your style can flex depending on context; the assessment captures your natural tendencies, not a permanent category.
How Get Savvy uses it
Your Extended DISC profile shapes how your AI coach communicates with you — the framing, pacing, and type of feedback that will actually land, rather than get filtered out.
